Personal Assistant Wanted

I am looking for a PA who can work part-time and become a part of the team, currently two assistants work during school hours. I am in my first year of adapted high school and require assistance around the clock due to a neurological condition that includes epilepsy with severe seizures during sleep at night (very rarely during the day). I enjoy music, dancing, clothes, and headgear, and have special interests such as vacuum cleaners and guitars.

I am now seeking one or two assistants who can work part-time and extra during the terms in Hammarby Sjöstad and work weekends and holidays when we are at the cabin on southern Ljusterö. During the summer, I will also need to have assistants with me at summer camp, probably Barnens Ö. There is a possibility to work full-time in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

• Be my support and security so that I can manage outings without becoming stressed
• Learn to understand my communication (speech and TAKK) and support me in communicating with others
• Find activities that we want to do together

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Is calm and secure in themselves
• Finds it exciting to work with people who think differently
• Can read various situations and be attentive to when I experience stress
• Is good at subtle communication and flexible to my needs
• Is positive and solution-oriented
• To minimize the risk of misunderstandings, it is important that you have good knowledge of Swedish

Preferred Experiences:

• Music in all forms
• Alternative communication (AKK)
• Epilepsy
• Experience working with people with different cognition (neurodevelopmental disorders)

Training and Introduction:

• TAKK training
• During the introduction, there will be a strong focus on communication
• Information about epilepsy and emergency care will be provided during the introduction

Working Hours:

Working shifts are scheduled throughout the day, with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Right now, the team needs someone who can work during holidays, weekends, and evenings but also extra at school. There is an opportunity to work nights.

Start Date:

You must be available immediately and flexible for the introduction.
