JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to work in our special education group for grades 7-9. The special education group has 12 places in its own classroom with an adapted learning environment. Each student is given instruction based on their individual conditions. The staff group consists of two teachers/special educators and subject teachers. All students taught in the special education group belong to a regular class. The goal is for students to participate in the regular class based on each student's individual conditions. Each week, time is allocated for, for example, team planning, development issues, class conferences, and quality work in teams or subject groups.

Your main task is to support students' learning and development towards the goals of compulsory school, both individually and together with colleagues, as well as to provide social support to students to prevent and promote safety, health, and learning. Mentorship is included in your position, where contact with guardians is an important part. You have a coordinating and overarching role for students' learning and attendance in the special education group, as well as planning and conducting their development talks. Collaboration with teaching teachers is therefore of utmost importance and a prerequisite for the work. You are part of the special education group's work team and prepare for and participate in student health meetings, student meetings, and class conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is an educated special teacher, but applications are also open to you who are a licensed teacher with a focus on the later years of compulsory school. We would like you to have previous experience of similar work. We are looking for someone who is positive and engaged and who wants to support our students. You have a professional attitude and enjoy working with students both individually and in groups. You have a low-arousal and self-reflective working method and a good ability to create relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
