IT Project Manager at Swerim

We want to grow! The Metallurgical Research Institute Swerim conducts industry-related research and development on metals and their journey from raw materials to finished products. We have 200 employees at two locations in Sweden - Luleå and Stockholm. Our vision is a fossil-free and circular industry.

The Metallurgical Research Institute Swerim is now looking for a driven IT Project Manager who wants to lead our digitalization journey forward. We offer an exciting and operational role where you will work on projects from idea to implementation and management.

About the role

As an IT Project Manager, you will play an important role in our digitalization journey, being part of the IT department and reporting to the IT manager. You will work closely with the business to drive and develop our IT systems, processes, and ways of working. The position is at our office in Stockholm or Luleå, with the possibility to work remotely some days a week.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in IT projects and initiatives based on business needs.
• Manage and develop system support, processes, and ways of working.
• Monitor trends in IT, including information security and technological development.
• Plan and develop Swerim's systematic information security work.
• Drive change management and ensure a smooth transition for new IT initiatives.

About you

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in IT, computer science, or a related field, as well as experience in project management within IT. You have a broad understanding of IT and its significance in the business, without necessarily being a technical specialist. Experience in information security work is an advantage.

You are curious about new technology and look forward to developing together with us. With your structured approach, you have a strong ability to plan, execute, and follow up on projects, while your analytical skills help you identify opportunities and manage challenges. You thrive in collaborations, and your communication skills enable you to lead and drive change in an engaging and effective manner. You write and speak fluently in Swedish and English.
