Our insurance client is undergoing an exciting transformation to strengthen and streamline their purchasing function. We are now looking for a Purchasing Consultant who can contribute with their expertise in category management, analysis, and procurement – while driving change initiatives to create long-term improvements.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analysis of purchasing categories – identify savings potential and strategic improvement areas.
• Support in procurements – conduct and assist in procurements based on the organization's needs.
• Change management – contribute to the implementation of new processes and working methods within purchasing.

As a purchasing consultant, you are expected to deliver:

• Spend analysis and category overviews – identify areas for improvement.
• Strategic recommendations based on business needs and purchasing data.
• Support in procurements – from documentation to supplier evaluation and price negotiation.
• Transformation support – contribute to improved processes and working methods.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in purchasing, both strategically and operationally.
• You have experience in category management and spend analysis, including identifying savings opportunities.
• You have the ability to manage the entire Source-to-Contract (S2C) process, including market analysis, procurement, and supplier evaluation.
• You have experience in transformation projects – accustomed to supporting change management and implementing new processes.
• Preferred: Experience working in purchasing digitalization projects (e.g., implementation of P2P/S2P systems).
• Preferred: Previous experience in the insurance industry or similar sectors.
• Preferred: Experience in change management within purchasing and Supply Chain.

You are strategic and proactive, used to independently driving projects and change initiatives in a dynamic environment. Since the role involves close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and suppliers, you are a communicative and relationship-building person who can explain complex analyses clearly. At the same time, you are structured and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks and adapt to changes.

Start date and application

Full-time, 40h/week. Our client wishes to start in April, and the assignment is expected to run until 2025-12-31 with a chance of extension.
