Skogforsk is working on the development of sustainable forestry. We are now looking for you who want to work as a property technician at one of our nurseries.

We are looking for a colleague who can strengthen our operations in Ekebo, Skåne. The position primarily involves property maintenance, i.e., maintenance and repair of buildings, greenhouses, and equipment used at the nursery. You will be responsible for contacts with authorities, service providers, and craftsmen.

You will also work with the care of our tree archives at the station, i.e., plantings of trees used in research, as well as practical nursery work together with the rest of the team. This includes mowing, trimming, sawing, planting, as well as crossing trees and harvesting seeds. It is a varied job where no two days are alike.

The facility consists of approximately 70 hectares of archive land, 4,000 m2 of greenhouses, 6,000 m2 of other nursery areas, a storage hall, a machine hall, and offices.

You will have independent work, but you will also work together with others. For us, it is important to have a pleasant work environment. At our research station, both researchers and technicians work, and we are convinced that diversity provides the conditions for both a more pleasant and more efficient workplace.

We offer a permanent full-time position.

We are looking for someone who is innovative, creative, has good collaboration and initiative skills, and is development- and results-oriented. You should have experience in property maintenance, and if you have previously worked with construction, plumbing, or electrical work, it is an advantage. Experience with tractors, chainsaws, brush cutters, and boom lifts is a plus. Proficiency in Swedish, a B driver's license, good computer skills, and being comfortable with numbers and maps are required.
