Do you want to make a difference in our operations organization? The energy sector is hotter than ever. Our energy production has always the highest priority, and for this position, we are looking for someone who, together with our experienced employees, wants to focus on the operation of energy production at our two facilities in Helsingborg. Do you want to be part of the future Öresundskraft?
About the business Our business area Production is responsible for ongoing operation and maintenance as well as optimization and development of all energy production within Öresundskraft (Helsingborg and Ängelholm). Within the operations department, where this position is located, we are about 30 operations engineers/technicians responsible for the ongoing operation at Filbornaverket (waste incineration) and Västhamnsverket (pellets) in Helsingborg. We work in shift teams, around the clock – year-round. Each shift is responsible for controlling and optimizing our production of district heating, electricity, and district cooling in Helsingborg. We are part of one of Sweden's largest contiguous district heating networks, which stretches from Helsingborg and further, via Landskrona, all the way down to Lomma. Our production is under constant development, and right now, preparatory projects are underway for the start of carbon capture (CCS).
About the position We offer you an exciting position as Operations Technician/Engineer where you will be part of one of our shift teams responsible for operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Our production is complex and includes everything from fuel handling (waste and wood pellets) and operation of our combustion boilers, turbines, and flue gas cleaning to pump control for our district heating distribution. The production is both controlled and monitored using our customized control system (800xA from ABB), and the role also involves ongoing management of operational disturbances and alarms that we document in our various maintenance and case management systems (Idus and Wistbo). The work is done in close collaboration with internal experts (in operations and maintenance technology), emergency response teams, and various external partners. You are a bit of a “spider in the web” and become naturally involved to ensure that routines and processes are followed in connection with maintenance work – conducting risk analyses and preparing, planning, and administering work environment and safety requirements (Hot work, Electrical safety).
We can promise you a very exciting role in an organization with a wide technical breadth, where you are given great opportunities to develop. The position is variably located in the control rooms (depending on the season/operational period) at our two production facilities in Helsingborg (Filbornaverket and Västhamnsverket). You report directly to the operations manager, as well as to the shift leader for your team.
About you We believe you have a post-secondary education, preferably with a specialization in operations or process technology. You have probably worked in a similar role with operational monitoring, process control, troubleshooting, and are used to quickly gaining a comprehensive view and understanding complex process technical relationships. You may have worked in the energy sector/energy production, but we have good opportunities to provide you with the training and knowledge you need. If you are genuinely interested in process control, operations, and process technology, you are exactly who we are looking for.
As a person, you are open and engaged. You work in a structured manner and have a natural interest in details. We place great value on your ability to collaborate, but you should also enjoy having your own responsibility where quick and decisive decisions sometimes need to be made. We expect you to have very good computer skills, a driver's license, and that you are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Diversity is truly important to us. What makes us different is also what develops us the most. Different perspectives, experiences, and personalities are a big part of our key to success. Be yourself and contribute in your own unique way - welcome to Öresundskraft!
