Räddningstjänsten Syd is a rescue service association for the municipalities of Burlöv, Eslöv, Kävlinge, Lund, and Malmö. Our mission is to prevent accidents and to quickly and effectively carry out rescue operations of various kinds.

Operational support works to support, implement, and develop services so that the association can conduct effective and quality-assured operations. Service and maintenance are part of operational support and are responsible for hose washing, breathing apparatus, filling fire extinguishers, training sites, storage, operational purchases, and service vehicles. We are now looking for a technician for our Service and Maintenance unit!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a technician at Räddningstjänsten Syd, you will work in a team of 8 technicians. The team of technicians is responsible for providing the operation with materials for interventions and exercises. As a technician, you will work with most of our tasks within the department, such as hose washing, hose repair, filling fire extinguishers, washing breathing apparatus, and transporting with our truck within the association. You will be based at our station in Lund and may also work at other locations within the association, e.g., our training site in Malmö.

QUALIFICATIONS

In the role of technician at Räddningstjänsten Syd, you will collaborate daily with people inside and outside the organization. Since you work in a smaller unit, it is important that you have good teamwork skills and enjoy working together with others. You have a high level of service and a good attitude. You are meticulous, responsible, and ensure that materials are available based on the needs of the operation. You have the ability to plan and work independently, take initiative, and see the needs of the operation. You should also be flexible and able to quickly handle situations that require you to switch between different tasks and workplaces.

To succeed in the role of technician, you need to be interested in working with technical equipment. It is a requirement that you have some experience in the technical field that the employer deems relevant. You need to have good computer skills and experience working in various computer systems. To be considered for the position, it is a requirement that you have completed basic education. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required for effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other partners in the organization. A B driver's license is required, and a C driver's license is a merit.

Since some tasks are physically demanding, you need to have good basic fitness.
