Just outside Malmö lies a leading paint company focused on innovation and sustainability. A site that is one of the largest facilities in the Nordics for the development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of paint for indoor and outdoor environments for consumers, customers, and industry. The business mainly consists of two companies. Akzo Nobel Industrial Coatings, which is a leader in the sales and manufacturing of paint and coatings for industrial surface treatment for wood products such as windows, doors, floors, and furniture. Some of the customers include IKEA, Montana, Inwido, and Tarkett. The other company, Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings, develops, manufactures, distributes, and sells paint, varnish, filler, and wood protection products to professional painters and consumers. The portfolio includes the well-known brands Nordsjö, Sadolin, and Cuprinol. At the site, 560 proud employees work to meet our customers' needs for high-quality products and services.

What will you be working with?

As an Industrial Electrician, you will have the opportunity to get to know AkzoNobel's international operations and gain a good insight into the paint industry. You will work both in our workshop and out in production. Your workday will be varied and will include everything from simple service and preventive maintenance to advanced repairs and troubleshooting of various machines.

Our control systems mainly consist of Siemens, Mitsubishi, and ABB.

Tasks you will likely recognize from previous roles:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility's equipment and machines. • Troubleshooting and repair of machines and equipment.

• Actively contribute to improvement work and efficiency.

• Actively work to minimize downtime in production.

• Read and understand PLC programs and make minor adjustments as needed.

• Document completed maintenance work.

• Ensure that safety procedures are followed when performing tasks.

• Maintain good order of equipment and premises.

The position is full-time with placement at our site just outside Malmö. You will report directly to the Electrician Manager. Evening shifts may occur every 5th week.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is positive, responsible, and communicative, with a strong sense of collaboration and service. You have a great interest in technology, are curious, and driven by the desire to develop. To succeed well in the job, it is also required that you are quality-conscious in your way of working and appreciate order and tidiness.

We also believe that you have the following:

• At least a high school education in electricity, industrial electronics, or equivalent.

• Experience in service, maintenance, and repair of electrical and automation equipment.

• Ability to troubleshoot and read electrical diagrams.

• Understanding of production flows in an industrial environment.

• Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as the ability to absorb information in English.

• Good computer skills.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge of ATEX environments.
