The team within Machine Safety is growing and needs more members! We at Professionals Nord, in collaboration with SMP Svensk Maskinprovning, are looking for someone curious about a career as a certification engineer.

SMP works for a safer working day and offers services in personal protective equipment, machine, and environmental safety. They are accredited for the inspection of all construction machinery, lifting devices, elevators, and gates. SMP performs certifications, tests, and environmental controls throughout the country.

The position is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process is conducted through Professionals Nord and that you will be employed directly by SMP. As a certification engineer at SMP, you play an important role in the work for a continued safe and secure working environment both in Sweden and globally. You will primarily work on assessing technical documentation for certification for CE marking of various types of machines, lifting devices, production lines, and also personal protective equipment.

You will also:

• Be responsible for and perform inspections and projects
• Handle and review type approvals
• Follow up on the validity of certificates and attestations, as well as notify about refused or revoked attestations
• Participate in European certification councils and committees
• Contribute to the development of new standards and regulations and keep updated on changes in requirements

In the role, you will also work strategically with long-term customer relationships and develop SMP's customer offering while ensuring that projects and assignments continue in an efficient and businesslike manner.

Training is offered internally to ensure you feel secure in your role, and your colleagues consist of a wonderful and experienced team where humility and collaboration are highly valued. The position is a full-time position located at the testing lab/office in Umeå or Uppsala.

Is an educated engineer in mechanical engineering, technical physics, electronics, or similar. You have some years of work experience from technical work and are curious about developing within machine safety as a certification engineer!

The position also involves some travel within Sweden each month.

A driving license and good Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written, are required for the position.
