TÜV NORD performs objective technical assessments for the industry. Together, we take on the challenge of developing the next generation of inspection services. TÜV NORD in Sweden was established in 2001 as a joint venture between ÅF and TÜV NORD. In 2010, TÜV NORD bought out ÅF and TÜV NORD Sweden was formed. Since then, we have become market leaders in third-party inspection for the nuclear power industry and successfully established ourselves in other industries. What unites us is the desire to develop the industry! TÜV NORD in Scandinavia currently has about 40 employees with offices in Helsingborg, Gothenburg, and Kolding (Denmark). We are steadily growing with new customer assignments and therefore need to strengthen our nuclear power team at the Forsmark nuclear power plant with an additional new colleague. We are looking for you, an experienced mechanical engineer/designer who would like to work with design control.

Role Description

In the role of mechanical engineer in design control, you will verify that the design meets the requirements of regulations, standards, and norms. You will do this by reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications, and other documentation. In some cases, you will also perform your own calculations. You should be able to explain in a pedagogical way why a design does not meet the specified requirements. The location will be at the Forsmark nuclear power plant, where we currently have three experienced employees working with recurring design controls and inspections. Travel a few times a year may occur in this position.

Within the company, we have a unique and strong team spirit with a common goal of succeeding as a team with our various projects. Today, we have a total of 15 employees within TÜV NORD Scandinavia who work full-time with nuclear power. The headquarters is located in Helsingborg.

We will offer the opportunity for you to perform some of the work from your home office.

You are used to reviewing drawings and flowcharts. You have experience in material, welding, and non-destructive testing.
