Academic Resource is looking for a Research Engineer for Cytiva in Uppsala.

The position is a full-time employment and a long-term consulting assignment, with the possibility of extension at the client company.

Start: April 28, 2025, or possibly earlier.

End date: December 31, 2025

About the position:

As a Research Engineer, you will develop packing methods for chromatographic columns used for protein purification, supporting both new product development, market support, and sales support. You will conduct laboratory investigations - independently or in teams - through planning, execution, and analysis of results. You will participate in various R&D projects and collaborate with other functions including production, as well as participate in defining customer needs and verifying them.

You will belong to the column packing and functionality department within R&D, which covers the entire process for the customer from start to finish and is an application-oriented department within the R&T organization.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in chemistry, biotechnology, biochemical/biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field within Life Sciences.

• Experience from Cytiva or with column packing, ÄKTA systems, and chromatography.

• Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

• Previous experience working according to GMP is considered an advantage.
