The Workplace 

Älvstorps Vårdhem is centrally located in Nora, has 48 HVB-places and the Sobera detox department with 7 places plus outpatient services. Älvstorp receives adult individuals with substance abuse issues, mild mental health problems, and based on our high level of care competence, we can also accommodate clients with a higher degree of care needs. We have good opportunities to care for individuals with mobility impairments. 

The treatment includes MI, support conversations, CBT, ESL, MET, rePULSE, ACT, and relapse prevention. A written implementation plan is established together with the individual, the placing unit, and the responsible treatment secretary based on the care plan/assignment description.

The Position 

We are currently looking for a nurse for our operations at Älvstorps Vård- och Behandlingshem in Nora. 

  

Job Responsibilities

You work in an engaged team together with the manager, nursing colleagues, nursing assistants, doctors, and treatment staff, where the clients' health and motivation are always in focus. 

We are looking for you who are an engaged and secure nurse with drive and curiosity. You take on new challenges with an open mind and look forward to becoming an important part of our team at Älvstorp. 
Your tasks include both regular nursing duties and a responsibility to support the clients' physical and mental health. You will also work with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and final reports, receive inquiries, HSL reports, rounds, incident management, establishing care plans and routines, and shorter training sessions, e.g., delegation, dementia, etc. 

The position includes on-call duty according to local agreement. 

 

Requirements & Experience 

Education: 

-          Licensed nurse. 

-          A valid driver's license is required as it is part of the job. 

 

Experience: 

-          Work experience from similar duties. 

-          It is an advantage if you have previously worked in addiction care, psychiatry, and/or detoxification, etc. 

-          You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good IT skills. 

-          A good administrative ability based on tasks such as documentation and record-keeping.

-          You are secure in yourself, calm, and can handle the work in a flexible and solution-focused manner.

We apply a 6-month probationary period and individual salary setting. A background check from the Police's suspicion and criminal record will be conducted in the event of employment.
