At Norberg's preschools, we all work together to provide each child with the best possible conditions to develop in a safe and educational environment. Our goal is to create a preschool that is as equitable as possible. All children, regardless of which preschool they attend, should be given equal opportunities for play, learning, and development. As part of this work, we are currently developing a document that clarifies the pedagogical core activities of the preschools.

The Position and Responsibilities

In our preschools, we have at least one preschool teacher per department with a goal of having two per department. We have allocated time for joint reflection within the work team, time for development work, and personal planning time that you, as an employee, can schedule as it suits you in connection with time in the children's group. We aim to schedule all meetings and joint reflections on Mondays and Fridays whenever possible.

As a preschool teacher with us, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. With the children at the center and the curriculum as a starting point, you, together with your work team, are responsible for the pedagogical activities. You plan, implement, and follow up on the activities together with colleagues to ensure that the children are challenged in their learning. We see collegial learning as an important part of the development of the operation. Therefore, we have various occasions when we meet both within our own preschool and between the municipality's preschools to exchange experiences, inspire, discuss, and develop our pedagogical work.

Qualifications

You have a preschool teacher degree or a teacher degree with a focus on preschool, and you are a licensed preschool teacher. You have good knowledge of the assignment based on the preschool curriculum and are well aware of the special responsibilities of preschool teachers. We are looking for someone who sees each child's unique abilities, who focuses on the development and learning of the children and the preschool. The values of the curriculum permeate your approach, and you recognize the importance of both the group and the environment for learning, inspired by the children's curiosity, creativity, and questions. You show commitment and are interested in developing the preschool's work forward. You also have good collaboration skills and the ability to organize and structure education. You contribute to creating joy at work and are aware of your own role as a positive role model.

Additional Information

At each preschool, there is a preschool teacher with a special assignment to develop the pedagogical activities at their own preschool. This assignment includes being part of the preschools' process leadership group. The process leaders have allocated time for the assignment every Monday. The process leadership group includes preschool teachers from all preschools, special educators, and principals. An important task we have is to work together for equity in our preschools so that all children in Norberg are given the same opportunities for care, development, teaching, and learning.
