Do you want to develop, be part of our wonderful team, and work with the patient in focus? Welcome to us at the neuro and stroke unit in Östersund! Here you will meet patients from all over Jämtland Härjedalen with strokes, TIAs, acute and planned neurology, as well as brain tumors. The neuro and stroke unit currently has 18 beds and also handles the region's Save the Brain alarms around the clock.
Our goal is for all newly hired nursing assistants to receive the support they need to feel secure in their professional role, provide patients with good and safe care, and gain increased knowledge in the specific field of neurology and stroke. As a nursing assistant with us, you will be offered a developing job where you get the chance to use your nursing skills and grow in your role. You will experience many varied care situations, both acute and planned. We have internal training, and as a newcomer, you will receive support from experienced colleagues both during your onboarding and afterwards. In the unit, you will work with a digital patient overview via a tablet that you carry with you throughout your shift.
We have a coordinator on site during weekdays who answers all incoming calls, arranges discharges, transport bookings, orders, and receives reports, which means that you as a nursing assistant will have a good relief from many tasks. We also use patient-centered services as support for patient transport, inventory, and food management. We work with wish schedules, in periods of varying 8, 10, and 16 weeks, and place great value on considering individual wishes as much as possible. You will also work 2 out of 5 weekends. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Nursing assistant tasks in an inpatient department such as care and patient care, taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate, providing support and assistance during rehabilitation, managing patient documentation via digital support iPad NOVA, and entering information into the medical record system while collaborating with other professionals such as doctors, nurses, and therapists.
