Here you will meet patients from all over Jämtland Härjedalen with stroke, TIA, acute and planned neurology, and brain tumors. The neuro and stroke unit currently has 18 care places and also handles the region's Save the Brain alarms around the clock.

Our goal is for all newly hired nursing assistants to receive the support they need to feel secure in their professional role, provide patients with good and safe care, and gain increased knowledge in the specific neurology and stroke area. As a nursing assistant with us, you will be offered a developing job where you get the chance to use your nursing skills and grow in your role. You will experience many varied care situations, both acute and planned. We have internal training, and as a newcomer, you will receive support from experienced colleagues both during your onboarding and afterwards. In the unit, you will work with a digital patient overview via a tablet that you carry with you throughout your shift.

We have a coordinator on site during weekdays who answers all incoming calls, arranges discharges, transport bookings, orders, and receives reports, which allows you as a nursing assistant to have a good relief from many tasks. We also use care-related services as support for example in patient transport, inventory, and food management. Those who choose to work with us will become part of a wonderful team that learns from and encourages each other.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Standard nursing assistant tasks in a care department.

The tasks are varied and include nursing, observation, and contact with patients and relatives. Many professions work together in the unit, and if you enjoy working in a team where your expertise as a nursing assistant is highly valued, you have found the right place.

QUALIFICATIONS

Nursing assistant, preferably with interest and experience in stroke care and/or work in another medical care department.
