At Surgical Department 1, you have the opportunity to broaden your skills in many different surgical areas. We primarily care for patients in urology, vascular surgery, breast and endocrinology, as well as ear, nose, and throat. We have both acute and elective patients with generally short care processes. We work in teams and with person-centered care.

You will receive six weeks of introduction with us to ensure that you feel secure in your new workplace. As an employee, you will have the opportunity to influence the scheduling of your working hours through individual schedules in Heroma. We operate around the clock, and you will work nights by agreement; those who wish to work only nights are also welcome to apply. Weekend work, two weekends in five weeks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You should be able to work independently to meet the individual care needs of patients. In dialogue with patients and relatives, provide support for optimal participation and strive for person-centered care. With us, you will work alongside nursing assistants and be responsible for surgical care. Your nursing tasks include patient-centered care work such as identifying care needs, prescribing and prioritizing preventive measures. Monitor and evaluate fluid balance and nutritional status. You will be responsible for medication management such as injections, infusions, and pain pumps. You work in collaboration with doctors and in close cooperation with nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. We offer you a tailored introduction.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse; if you also have a specialist education in surgery, it is an advantage. Interest in surgical nursing is considered important.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You are flexible, have good organizational skills, and want to work in a team. We are proactive and constantly work on the development of our operations. Therefore, we are eager to bring in new employees with future visions and a desire to develop.
