Project Engineer for Air Base Systems
We are now looking for a project engineer who wants to help shape the future of air base systems. With us, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and varied projects that span the entire lifecycle of air base material – from new construction to modification and maintenance.
About the Position
The air base systems unit consists of two areas; air base material and fuel material. We are now recruiting a new colleague for the air base material area where you will work with airfield maintenance systems, which include the vehicles and equipment that keep an airport clean and snow-free.
In this role, you will work equally on procurement and management projects. With your technical expertise, you will, for example, develop specifications for new materials, and together with our purchaser participate in procurements of materials within the framework of the Public Procurement Act and the Defense and Security Procurement Act (LOU/LUFS).
You will also follow up on the materials that are in operation throughout their lifecycle, and you will propose measures to improve or modify the materials as well as conduct technical investigations including deviation management.
This is a role with many interfaces, and you will collaborate with engineers, purchasers, and lawyers, in both small and large assignments, both in Sweden and abroad. The position is based in Stockholm. Travel occurs both nationally and internationally.
About You
We are looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent, and at least three years of experience in relevant technical project work. A basic requirement is also that you have very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English in speech and writing. A driver's license is also required.
It is an advantage if you have previously worked with vehicles or air base material. Experience in procuring technical systems and writing technical reports is also advantageous. We also see it as positive if you have experience from the Armed Forces.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, is attentive, and solves problems constructively. We also see that you are self-driven, have the ability to plan and organize your work, and show good judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. You thrive in a role where you create contacts and maintain relationships both within and outside the organization.
