Junior Electricity Market Developer

About the Position

In the role of junior electricity market developer, you will belong to the Support Service Markets unit. The unit's mission is to develop and manage market solutions for the various support services (reserves) in the balancing market, aiming to ensure a cost-effective and secure access to these reserves. The work is conducted nationally, Nordic, and European and is largely regulated by European legislation. The unit is currently growing and consists of eight employees.

Examples of tasks that may occur:

• Further development and ongoing work with the design of support service markets. This may include pricing, bid types, and the design of incentives, in accordance with national and European regulations.
• Responsible for the annual procurement of certain support services.
• Engage in dialogue with stakeholders about upcoming market developments.
• Participate in development projects, formulate and follow up needs in the development of IT systems that support the balancing markets.
• Participate in and develop collaborations both within Svenska kraftnät and externally with Nordic and European system operators.

About You

Requirements:

As a person, you are structured and have the ability to effectively plan and organize your work. You are curious and keep yourself updated in your field, which allows you to follow current trends and developments. In collaborations, you are both solution-oriented and proactive, making it easy for you to build and maintain relationships. Since we are in a growing and dynamic environment, it is important that you are flexible and can adapt to new conditions.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Furthermore, you have a master's degree or equivalent from a university or college with a focus on technology, economics, or similar (requirement for completed degree when employment starts). You have relevant experience in the energy sector either through your education or work. Your ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, is very good.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of:

• work experience in electricity market issues, for example, within support service markets, day-ahead or intraday markets
• experience in procurement
• international work
• work with legal frameworks within balancing and electricity markets.

• The position is located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg or Gothenburg
• Opportunity for remote work up to 50% #LI-hybrid
• Travel may occur. Usually about once a month, somewhat more if placed in Gothenburg
