Due to the absence of the regular assistant, we are looking for an assistant for a young, cozy, and cheerful 24-year-old woman who lives in a villa with her parents but also spends a few nights each month in her own apartment in central Luleå.

She cannot communicate with words, so you as an assistant need to be able to read her body language and interpret other signals she uses to convey what she wants and how she feels. This is something you will quickly learn once you start working as her assistant. As an assistant, it is important to communicate with her verbally, even though she cannot respond.

Job Responsibilities

Assist the client with personal hygiene, such as showering, toilet visits, dressing and undressing, meals, and various activities that you, as the assistant, create for her. Administer her medications via a button on her stomach. The client enjoys being outdoors in all weather, and swimming is a major interest, both indoors and outdoors; she also rides once a week. She loves to play and have fun, and maintaining a childlike spirit is essential when working with her. Assistants are also responsible for keeping her room at her parents' home clean and tidying her apartment when they are there. The client regularly visits Din förlängda arms center where she meets other clients and assistants and participates in various activities.

The Position

We are looking for a girl/woman for an 85% position, who can work for about 4 months due to the regular assistant's pregnancy, with a chance for extension during the regular assistant's parental leave. The position includes working days, evenings, and weekends. Some night shifts may also occur. The work shifts are between 6-11.5 hours long. About 10 hours per day, the client has doubling time, which means that during these hours, two assistants work together with the client.

Who Are We Looking For

To thrive in the role of her assistant, you need to have a positive attitude and be able to collaborate easily with others. You must be creative, inventive, and playful. But you also need to be responsible and able to set boundaries. Since the client rides once a week, you should not have any form of pet allergy.

Experience in similar tasks/education may be an advantage, but the most important factor is personal chemistry.
