Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will support the individual in their home, based on the user's needs and wishes. The job responsibilities include practical tasks, personal care, medical interventions, leisure activities, and social contacts. You will be the support the user needs to participate in all activities as much as possible and contribute to ensuring the user has a good quality of life.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have completed education from a nursing program, child and youth program, or a 1-year personal assistance education. Applicants with other education or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent may be considered for employment. You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken. The work should be characterized by a pedagogical approach to support the user in maintaining their skills as much as possible. It is important that you feel secure in your professional role and can act professionally. We also expect you to be social, attentive, and proactive in activities with the user. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

The work as a personal assistant requires good physical condition in terms of strength, stamina, and mobility. Since the job requires documentation, it is desirable that you have good computer skills. We also prefer that you have a B driver's license and access to a car.

More About the Positions

A permanent position with shifts during the day, evening, and weekends with an employment rate of 98.43%. Start date 2025-05-05. Recruitment will be ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

The Case

The user is a cheerful man in the city center with an intellectual and physical disability as well as epilepsy. He enjoys being outdoors, swimming, and listening to music. The work team is large as two users live in the same household, so you will rarely work alone, and we place great importance on personal suitability. We also appreciate that you understand the importance of a low-affect approach.

Full-time employment may be offered. You will primarily work on this case but may need to work in other cases/activities where there is a need. This requires that you can travel by your own car to the workplace you will temporarily be working at. Travel compensation will be provided according to the agreement for work-related travel.
