Job Description

Our client is looking for someone with sufficient experience in investment projects, procurement of contracts, and broad competence and experience in land/construction – AMA – quantity lists. It is very important to have strong self-leadership and to be largely self-sufficient in both large and small matters. In combination with this, it is also very important to enjoy working together in a team and continuously establish common plans and goals that you then ensure to deliver on.

Within the role, there will be both large (+50MSEK) and small procurements (+1MSEK) to manage. The client has an expected main area which is the client's distribution network, i.e., a lot of land/construction, pipe work, welding, purchasing of pipe materials & valves.

The following tasks are included in the role:

• You will work and drive the purchasing part in investment projects – primarily focusing on distribution. This means taking an active role from the start, with the goal of ensuring quality from suppliers and deliveries as well as profitable deals.
• You also ensure sufficient time for the procurement process and are responsible for flagging at project startup if this is not the case.
• You have experience and competence regarding construction law, AB/ABT, AMA.
• As a project buyer, you hold together the entirety during the purchasing phase where several project members and stakeholders participate in the purchasing work with purchasing strategy, request for proposal documents, contracts with appendices, or call-off contracts against framework agreement terms. As a buyer, you are responsible for these documents.
• You take responsibility and initiative to ensure that the purchasing work in the project is the best possible and follows the timeline.
• You are responsible for drafting request for proposal documents and contract drafts, as well as documenting other procurement documents that are part of the purchasing and investment process. Technical appendices are the responsibility of the project.
• You partly procure in competition but largely against existing framework agreements.
• You contribute to the link between suppliers' knowledge base and the project.
• Facilitate a good network and have control over the supplier market within the areas where the procurements and call-offs occur.
• You seek purchasing strategies that contribute to business benefits and quality assurance.
• You are passionate about achieving the best results and savings. Savings are registered as KPI on purchases.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, i.e., have good insight and experience working with law and contracts.
• Conduct and follow up requests for proposals and bids, calculate and report savings.
• Follow up deviations and drive or assist in negotiations with suppliers.

In the role of project buyer in investment projects for the Distribution Network, you are a key player in the procurement phase and are the engine in the investment project's purchasing work. A crucial part of the client's success and profitability undoubtedly lies in purchasing and the ability to see the whole and utilize suppliers' experience. The challenge is more than just seeking the most economically advantageous agreement. You need to understand the business area to find the best supplier or framework agreement and delivery for the purpose. Purchasing is expected to contribute to savings, which is why you need to be comfortable in negotiation situations.

Mandatory requirements

• At least five years of experience in project purchasing within contracts
• Relevant university education in engineering, law, or economics
• Experience in investment projects and procurement of contracts. By contracts, we mean procurement in mechanics (e.g., welding, pipe work) and processes as well as procurements in electrical and automation (e.g., control system replacements, upgrades)
• Knowledge of and experience working with construction law and the commonly occurring contract forms (AB/ABT (and sometimes ABA)). For products and services, we also have our own contract templates that we use
• Experience in procuring in the private sector (Stockholm Exergi is no longer subject to LUF)
• Understanding and interest in technology and energy
• Previous experience in purchasing, project management, or another equivalent role within land & construction
