About the Department

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (BIVA) at Queen Silvia Children's Hospital is a highly specialized intensive care unit that provides care for patients aged 0-18 years. We receive children from all over Sweden and the Nordic countries. We are a national center for transplantation and have a national healthcare assignment in pediatric cardiac surgery. In addition, we have subspecialties in surgery, medicine, oncology, and plastic surgery.

In our integrated intermediate care unit (BIMA), we care for children who do not require full intensive care but still have needs that cannot be met in a regular ward. Our expertise ranges from simpler interventions to the most advanced and life-saving treatments.

About You

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant or specialist nursing assistant. Previous experience in pediatric care or intensive care is an advantage. You have a positive view of people and good collaboration skills. You are flexible, attentive, and show commitment and willingness in your work, and are interested in contributing to the development of our operations. You are passionate about working with seriously ill children and their families. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
