Vidhögeskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 570 students and 85 staff members. The school is located in the northern part of the municipality, right in the community of Veddige, with good transport links to Varberg and surrounding municipalities.

Our catchment area covers a large geographical area, and we accept students from Deromeskolan in grades 4. All classes have home classrooms with associated group rooms, and there are well-equipped special rooms for practical/aesthetic subjects. We also have Flex activities at the school. There are also good opportunities in the subject of sports as we have access to various sports halls and are close to an ice rink, as well as an outdoor environment that promotes movement.

At our school, we believe that safety and well-being are important for both students and staff, and students have access to health staff every day of the week. Development projects prioritized and ongoing at the school include motivating and activating teaching and accessible education and instruction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will teach, among other subjects, Home Economics. You will also teach Mathematics and/or English in grades 6-9.
• You prepare, implement, and evaluate your teaching.
• You start from the students' needs and work with guidance and stimulation as well as extra adaptations in the classroom.
• You have mentor students and collaborate with colleagues and guardians.
• You have a relational and clear leadership as a foundation.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest drive. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a teacher with us in Varberg Municipality, you play a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for the students. By planning, implementing, and following up your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both academically and socially.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on the teaching based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and conditions, and based on research and proven experience. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Teacher's degree and certification with authorization to teach Home Economics, Mathematics, and/or English.
• Knowledge and experience in meeting students with NPF.
• Knowledge of clear pedagogical methods.

As a teacher, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific principles with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by planning and following up on the teaching together. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt the teaching based on the students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable working environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.
