Gastroenterologist/Surgeon for the Endoscopy Clinic

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. About 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Our current chief physician will retire! Are you an engaged gastroenterologist or surgeon passionate about endoscopy? We are now looking for an experienced and driven replacement for our clinic to become part of our competent team.

Description

The endoscopy clinic conducts elective five-day operations in two adapted examination rooms with modern equipment. Currently, a gastroenterologist, endoscopy nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries work at the clinic. Each year, over 3000 examinations are performed, the majority of which are colonoscopies.

Responsibilities

• Perform relevant diagnostic examinations and therapeutic treatments.
• Document and report examinations in the relevant journal and quality system.

The unit currently does not conduct any other outpatient activities besides endoscopic examinations.

Qualifications

We are looking for a specialist physician with documented and extensive experience in practical endoscopy work. You should also have administrative experience and be well acquainted with the use of relevant IT systems/tools.

Furthermore, you are expected to have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team, as well as the ability to follow established routines and carry a lively commitment to contribute to a good working climate and high-quality care.

Employment Scope

Daytime work, 100%, with the possibility of part-time work.

Conditions

Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required for the position.
