We hope you will enjoy being with us!

Description

The Social Services is one of Uddevalla's five administrations.

The Social Services consists of elderly care, individual and family care, support for people with disabilities, health care, and support activities, which are organized into nine departments. We are now looking for a medically responsible nurse (MAS) who, together with MAR and SAS, managers, and other strategic functions, is expected to develop and ensure good quality within municipal health care. You will be offered a varied and significant assignment where you can truly make a difference.

The position is placed within the administrative department where you are expected to have close collaboration with other actors working on cross-administrative issues. In the coming years, the focus within care and support will be on meeting a growing target group, competence supply, digitalization, close care, and ensuring a good and safe operation.

As MAS, you have a special medical responsibility that includes:

  • ensuring that the patient receives safe and appropriate health care of good quality within the municipality's area of responsibility,
  • ensuring that the patient receives the health care prescribed by a doctor,
  • ensuring that patient records are maintained,
  • that the routines for medication management and decisions on delegation are patient-safe,
  • that there are routines for contacting doctors and other health care personnel as needed,
  • reporting to the municipal board if a patient has suffered serious harm or illness in connection with care and treatment or has been exposed to risk thereof.

Tasks

You are expected to ensure the quality of health care processes and to follow up on patient safety work and care quality.

Independently and together with others, you will conduct improvement and development work within the health care area and related areas within social services. You will identify needs for change and proposals for improvement work, and in development and investigation assignments, you may participate and act as a specialist function.

Your responsibilities include issuing, updating, and renewing cross-administrative guidelines and routines for how health care should be conducted to guarantee individuals good and safe care.

You are responsible for developing routines and materials for self-assessments within the health care area and serve as support for managers and staff in health care matters.

You will participate with MAR in the overall analysis work regarding deviations and compile, together with the social responsible coordinator, SAS, the quality and patient safety report. Your assignment includes assessing which deviations should be reported to the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) according to lex Maria.

You will initiate and actively contribute to good collaboration within the area.

Qualifications

Requirements for the role are:

  • You are a licensed nurse with several years of experience from various areas within health care and good knowledge of legislation and regulations in the field.
  • You have previously worked for at least two years as a medically responsible nurse (MAS) and have completed a development program for MAS.
  • As MAS is a leading function, you have several years of experience as a manager in various areas.
  • You have good knowledge and experience of working with patient safety and quality work based on the social services' operational area.
  • You work independently, are structured, pedagogical, and have a good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing.
  • You find it easy to make contacts and collaborate.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Interviews are planned for the afternoons of April 9 and 11.

For positions where a license/valid proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of a protected professional title is required, this must be submitted before employment.

Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can be considered.
