JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a contact line technician, you will, together with your colleagues, be involved in the reconstruction and new construction as well as inspection of the contact line network at tram facilities in the Gothenburg area. The work as a contact line technician offers you great variation. You will work both at ground level and at high altitudes using a mounting vehicle in our masts. The work is performed in all weather conditions, both indoors in our workshop and outdoors on our tracks. You will work with different groups of colleagues and over time you will gain the knowledge and skills to perform all tasks.

Your responsibilities include line control, insulation work, and inspection and repair of the facility. You will manage the associated tools, equipment, and vehicles and follow the safety instructions. You will have fantastic colleagues to support you in a generous and inclusive manner. The working hours will be shift work, where you are scheduled for days, nights, and weekends. Once you have gained experience, on-call duty will be included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is technically skilled with a strong interest and willingness to learn more about contact line technology. Our primary focus is safety, which is why you are responsible and meticulous and follow up on your work to ensure high quality. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a good work environment. Our vision is a world-class tram journey, which is why you need to be creative and solution-oriented. Since things can happen at short notice, you need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing conditions. If you are also driven and take the initiative to move the work forward, whether you work alone or with others, that is a big plus.

You also have:

• Technical education and/or work experience in electrical/mechanical fields
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Basic digital competence
• Swedish driving license with at least category B completed probationary period
• Experience in contact line work
• Experience working in railway and road environments

Meritorious:

• Traffic Authority's contact line training
• Experience with heavy vehicles
• Swedish driving license with category C

Since the work takes place in the track area, this is a safety-critical position. Therefore, health approval according to TSFS 2019:113 and a passed drug test are required for employment.

Our proposed salary range for the position is 28,000-41,000. The final salary depends on how well the set requirements for the position are met.
