The VA unit is responsible for the municipal water and sewage operations in Lerum Municipality. This includes the production and distribution of drinking water as well as the diversion and treatment of wastewater for approximately 42,000 residents.

As a construction worker in VA distribution, you will belong to a unit of 18 people. VA distribution is tasked with both constructing and maintaining the pipeline network.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The main job responsibilities consist of the construction of municipal VA pipelines in Lerum Municipality.

You, together with the rest of the work team, will largely plan and structure your own work methods. As a construction worker, you will work both independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues. The work is carried out together with our own staff as well as our hired contractors.

The tasks are very varied, and the opportunities to influence the work are good. In the role of construction worker, you need to stay updated in the field through environmental monitoring to suggest development opportunities within the various operational areas.

On-call work may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have education and work experience in pipe laying, and it is an advantage if you have several years of experience with municipal pipeline work.

You have a B driver's license, and it is advantageous if you have a forklift or C driver's license.

Being able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is important as the work involves administrative tasks such as text handling, contact with the public, and other stakeholders.

In addition to the basic requirements regarding competence, we place great importance on how you are as a person and how you function in a group with others, meaning we value personal suitability highly. You enjoy collaborating and working in a team but also have the ability to work independently.
