At the Department of Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care, we take care of patients and families facing critical moments. For some, we are the last hope. Whether you work in the sterile supply department, in one of our flying operations, in the intensive care unit, or in surgery, you play a crucial role in these decisive moments. Our Operations

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for children in need of anesthesia and surgical care. The work is varied as well as the pace. The pediatric anesthesia and surgery department receives children and adolescents aged 0-16 years. It is important to us that both the children and their accompanying relatives feel well cared for and secure. The operations are diverse, broad, and offer great opportunities for professional development. Our specialties include urology, upper gastrointestinal surgery, orthopedics, hand surgery, and neonatal surgery. We also receive children from oncology, which includes surgery and treatments from diagnosis to fully treated patients. Our external assignments are significant; we are daily present in about 2 other operational floors besides our own facilities. We are a team that enjoys working together, with children's rights at the center. This is a prerequisite for safely and securely caring for everything from extremely premature infants with intestinal obstructions to large teenagers with, for example, sports-related injuries. We are humble in the task of caring for children who need treatment and surgery.

Your Mission

As a specialist nurse with us, you will be part of a skilled team where we support and help each other in our work. We offer individually tailored onboarding based on previous experiences. Being an anesthesia nurse at Akademiska sjukhuset is an exciting job where you meet people in many different situations. We offer you a varied and stimulating job where your role is significant.

The position primarily involves daytime work, but some on-call duty on weekends is included.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with a specialist nursing degree in anesthesia care.
