One of the Army Staff's focus areas is to build the new Army. An army that focuses on the Army's capabilities in the field and in this builds new as well as restructure existing units. At the same time, the Army Staff leads units both nationally and internationally. The Army Staff develops and manages the Army's combat units and subordinate organizational units consisting of units and schools.

The above combined with the continued establishment of the Army Staff as a cohesive and unifying force makes the tasks very varied, developing, and dynamic.

TVK Mark

The Army Staff is an independent organizational unit within the Armed Forces where the Technical and Maintenance Office Ground (TVK Mark) is included. TVK Mark is responsible for material maintenance, material utilization, and material maintenance economy within the army, as well as ensuring that the material is maintained in accordance with system objectives.

TVK Mark consists of Staff, Planning, and Regional Production Management, as well as seven system details with areas of responsibility for Band Vehicles (BV) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN), Indirect Fire (IE), Wheeled Vehicles, Combat Vehicles, Field Working Equipment, Air Defense, and Soldier-Carried Weapons. Due to the Armed Forces' growth, we expect to grow from about 100 to 150 employees in the coming years.

About the position

The Armed Forces' material system CBRN, which handles CBRN combat agents, exists in all branches of defense and combat forces as well as civil defense. Our focus area is the maintenance of CBRN capabilities in indication, physical protection, and decontamination, but we also participate in procurement and decommissioning.

Technical Design Leader (TSL) CBRN based in Umeå is part of the system detail BV and CBRN. We have a close collaboration with IE in Boden. Together, we have 21 employees placed in Boden, Umeå, Östersund, and Enköping. In your role, you are a staff member in the Army Staff.

The work as TSL involves varied tasks with individual areas of responsibility where there are demands for independent work but also the ability to collaborate with others. As TSL, you are responsible for planning material maintenance and other decided maintenance actions for the Armed Forces' material system CBRN with the aim of optimizing the systems from a availability and status perspective during its technical lifespan within the given configuration.

Main tasks

  • Planning and management of maintenance and material maintenance actions
  • Monitoring of material status in the Armed Forces support systems
  • Monitoring deviations and preparing documentation for technical orders
  • Supply, distribution, and wartime placement of material according to current directives.
  • Monitoring and ensuring that existing warranties are utilized
  • Participating in user and maintenance meetings
  • Contributing to the development of system lifecycle plans
  • Participating in requirement specification work during material development, procurement, and handover to the Armed Forces

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic degree or other training deemed applicable by the employer
  • Good ability to understand and express yourself in spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Good ability to work on PC, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Driving license B

Meritorious

  • Experience working with systems security
  • Experience working in logistics, primarily technical service within the Armed Forces
  • Experience with the Armed Forces support systems LIFT and SAP (PRIO)
  • Familiarity with the Armed Forces' material supply and material processes
  • Knowledge of the CBRN material area

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and ease in building networks. You are responsive, action-oriented, and able to work under pressure. Furthermore, you are independent, proactive, and have a good ability to plan and organize your work.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability for the position.

  • Salary: Individual salary setting according to collective agreement
  • Employment form: Permanent, starting with a six-month probationary period if you are not already employed within the Armed Forces
