Description

The newly formed community unit is looking for a technical manager.

The operations for community, culture, and leisure have 25 employees distributed across various unit areas: Leisure and youth, culture and library, and community.

We are now looking for a technical manager who wants to work broadly and collaborate with colleagues to promote sustainable community development and create good living environments for the municipality's residents.

Responsibilities

The position is broad and includes overall responsibility for the management of the municipality's street, park, and land holdings. The responsibilities include client responsibility towards the municipal-owned company that manages the municipality's facilities related to streets, water, sewage, and waste management. You are also responsible for traffic and handle issues related to operation, maintenance, traffic safety, traffic matters, and investments on the municipality's streets and roads.

You will work with mapping systems, development agreements, and case management. You will also contribute to the work with the annual work plan, operational and budget follow-up.

You work long-term and commercially with the tasks and have close cooperation with suppliers and colleagues. It is essential to be able to perform the tasks independently and responsibly, but also to have good collaboration skills. Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree or a vocational education with a focus on construction/property, or someone who has acquired similar knowledge through practical experience.

As a person, you have good administrative skills and digital competence. You should find it easy to create good relationships, be professional and service-oriented, and contribute to a positive work environment. You have a good ability to plan your work realistically based on the organization's goals, budget, and timelines. You are proactive and ensure that work is completed efficiently.

Experience with lease issues and contracts, public procurement laws, regulatory requirements, property systems, project management, systematic fire protection work, and culturally significant buildings is an asset.

Conditions

The position requires a B driver's license.

Dorotea municipality offers 1 hour of wellness per week, during paid working hours.
