Firefighter for the Rescue Service Mjölby/Boxholm

The rescue services in Mjölby and Boxholm collaborate under the common name of the Rescue Service Mjölby/Boxholm. In the operational rescue service, the rescue chief has overall responsibility for six incident leaders and five shift teams, each with one team leader and four firefighters. At the part-time station in Skänninge, there are three shift teams with two part-time firefighters in each shift.

In the preventive work against accidents, the rescue chief has overall responsibility for systematic fire protection work directed towards municipal administrations and businesses in the municipality. The rescue service also has an external training department with a training leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will participate operationally in all types of rescue operations or assignments and exercises. You will participate in or lead certain exercises/training for other personnel. You will contribute to the rescue service's accident prevention activities regarding information, training, study visits, etc.

You will participate in or, in some cases, be responsible for work within the rescue service's main or support processes, such as exercise activities, vehicles, rescue equipment, electrical and telecommunication work, etc. Additionally, you will participate in and contribute to the daily operations of the rescue service both on and off the station.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a 2-year post-secondary education in accident prevention (SMO), Grib, or equivalent education according to older educational systems. Driving license categories B and C are required. You meet medical requirements for smoke and chemical diving. You are approved as a smoke diver in accordance with AFS 2007:7. You have swimming skills equivalent to the gold badge.

Practical skills adapted to the various tasks that may need to be performed during operational interventions.
