Vadstena Swimming Hall is an important part of contributing to a meaningful leisure time for our citizens. At Vadstena Swimming Hall, we offer swimming, lap swimming, swimming lessons, from baby swimming, splashing and playing to swimming school, as well as a gym!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as a lifeguard at Vadstena Swimming Hall, you will work to contribute to a meaningful leisure experience for all visitors. The position includes supervising swimming, cashier duties, and cleaning, as well as working with swimming schools and activities for children, youth, and the elderly. To thrive as a lifeguard, you should enjoy taking responsibility and be flexible, as your days will consist of many different activities within the operation.
The swimming hall staff is also responsible for cleaning the sports hall and gym adjacent to the swimming hall. You will be part of a team that develops the swimming hall's operations, so it is important that you enjoy designing and planning work together with colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is interested in meeting and helping people of all ages. Experience working in a swimming hall is an advantage, as well as experience with cash handling and cleaning.
It is a requirement that you can swim; therefore, a swimming test will be conducted before employment. The swimming test corresponds to the Guldbojen and is divided into two parts, including swimming 100 meters in any stroke, followed by 50 meters of swimming with a buoy, followed by 50 meters of towing a peer of similar size in a buoy. The test is conducted with a time limit.
It is advantageous if you have experience as a lifeguard or if you have previously worked as a swimming instructor or assistant. Education in the field or experience leading children's groups is also advantageous. The work involves contact with schools and visitors, so you must be able to express yourself verbally in both Swedish and English. It is desirable if you are trained and knowledgeable in CPR; if you do not have this, training will be provided in the area.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. As a person, you are proactive, responsible, flexible, and service-oriented with good collaboration skills.
The position requires you to have a B driver's license.
