HESS Specialist

We are now looking for a HESS Specialist for our site in Lindesberg!

In the role of HESS Specialist, you will have the opportunity to be an influential advisor to the line organization by building understanding of theoretical concepts, industry standards, and best practices within HESS.

About the role

To be successful in this role, it is crucial that you possess sufficient competence and experience to act as an expert in the HESS field. Based on an academic and/or technical background, you have the ability to find practical approaches that meet the expectations and requirements of authorities and other stakeholders.

Examples of responsibilities and tasks:

• Drive improvement work within the given area of responsibility.
• Develop guidelines, routines, and instructions within the given area of responsibility.
• Coach and support the line organization in implementing strategies and plans, as well as approaches that meet the requirements of authorities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and risk observations together with the business and develop routines and improvement measures to prevent future accidents, incidents, and risk observations.
• Coordinate and be responsible for reporting regarding HSE, including environmental reporting for the business.
• Together with others in the HESS department and the line organization, you will develop the safety culture at the facility and stimulate ongoing improvement work.

Our candidate

We are looking for someone with an academic degree at the bachelor's or master's level in health, environment, and safety, or an engineering education with a focus on chemistry or equivalent experience.

As a HESS Specialist, you should have the ability to drive continuous improvement of the systematic work environment efforts. You are proactive, see opportunities, and have the ability to drive improvement work through relationship building.

You are a good communicator and possess the ability to build relationships with your surroundings. You have a positive attitude and can, with enthusiasm and energy, engage others in the implementation of plans and actions. Furthermore, you are analytical, results-oriented, and solution-focused.
