Bergslagens Rescue Service (BRT) is a municipal association in Eastern Värmland between Degerfors, Filipstad, Hällefors, Karlskoga, Kristinehamn, and Storfors municipalities with about 200 employees and 8 fire stations.

The operations of the alarm center in its current form started in 1997. Today, we receive various types of technical alarms such as fire, burglary, operational, elevator alarms, and security alarms from all six member municipalities within the association. We relay to municipal on-call services and also staff the association's telephone exchange.

Main Responsibilities:

Working as an alarm operator in our alarm center means that you will:

• Respond to the municipalities' security alarms.
• Handle various incoming alarms, such as automatic fire alarms, burglary alarms, and operational alarms that come into our alarm center.
• Administrative tasks may also occur.

Qualifications

You who are applying:

• Have a couple of years of work experience.
• Are accustomed to using a computer as a work tool and working in several different systems simultaneously.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Master the Swedish language both orally and in writing.
• Have a B driver's license.

• The ability to create contact, meet, and under time pressure gather information from citizens in vulnerable situations.
• The ability to handle changes in pace while maintaining prioritization skills and work systematically and methodically even under high workload.
• The ability to collaborate effortlessly with other functions within the Rescue Service and with external actors and partners.
• Communicative skills, where the ability to listen, be attentive, and clarity are central, as well as the ability to adapt communication style to the situation.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment Type: Vacation substitute

Working Hours: Shift work day, evening, weekend, and night. The alarm center is staffed around the clock, all year round.

Start Date: By agreement.
