About the job

The meal and cleaning area / Meals is the operation in Lidköping Municipality that produces and serves meals.

The operation includes both cooking and reception kitchens, and every day about 10,000 portions of good and nutritious food are served.

As a chef at Ågårdskogens kitchen, you will have an important role where you can create meals that make a difference for both young and old. The kitchen serves both a nursing home and a preschool as well as a lunch service, which provides a varied and rewarding workday. You will have great opportunities to influence and develop the operation in collaboration with the kitchen manager and other staff. In addition, you will be part of an engaged team with several colleagues.

Lidköping Municipality sees meals as an important and natural part of the day that contributes to creating both joy and energy. Your role as a chef is to create a positive experience around the meal.

The work involves working every third weekend.

Job responsibilities

In the work as a chef, in addition to daily operations with cooking, dishwashing, and cleaning, you will also develop and drive the operation forward.

Who are you?

We see that you have a three-year high school education; large kitchen and chef training or equivalent experience. If you have experience working in a large kitchen, we consider it an advantage. We would like you to have good knowledge and experience of special and texture-adapted diets.

You must master Swedish in speech and writing. It is good if you have a B driver's license and access to a car.

We want you to be service-oriented and stress-resistant, as well as have good collaboration and communication skills. You should be able to perform tasks independently, take your own initiative, and be flexible. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

The position is currently placed as a chef at Ågårdskogens nursing home/preschool with work every third weekend.
