Women's Clinic at Nyköping Hospital

About Us

The Women's Clinic in Nyköping is the small clinic with the big heart. Here you will get the advantages of a smaller hospital combined with high-quality care and treatment. Nyköping Hospital is conveniently located near the train station and motorway. It is less than a ten-minute walk from the train station. Nyköping is close to both the sea, nature, and several larger cities.

Workplace

The labor, maternity, and gynecological departments are located together as a unit at Nyköping Hospital and are also situated alongside our outpatient clinics. As a midwife, you can work in all three units. As a nurse, you will work in the maternity and gynecological departments. All our employees rotate, and we work in teams around our patients. Our team consists of midwives, doctors, nursing assistants, and nurses, and we also have a social worker and physiotherapist in the team.

Your Main Responsibilities

The position involves working in labor and maternity, assisting the new family during the various stages when they welcome a new member: assisting during births and providing postpartum care for mother and child. You may also work with pool visits and telephone counseling. In the gynecological department, we work with emergency care, pre- and postoperative care, as well as end-of-life care. We have emergency admissions around the clock.

Your Qualifications

Licensed midwife or licensed nurse, preferably with experience in labor care, postpartum care, and/or emergency care.

As a person, you are independent, responsible, structured, and empathetic. You find it easy to collaborate with others and enjoy working both independently and in a group. You have an understanding of how background, culture, and group affiliation affect you and others. We place great importance on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Temporary employment with start date by agreement. Intermittent employment (hourly employment).
