The area of operation Care is responsible for all care departments, the palliative department, and ASIH at Södertälje Hospital.

Care is provided in several areas: internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, geriatrics, and palliative care. We are the largest area of operation at the hospital. We have close collaboration between our departments. If you are interested in further developing your skills, you have the opportunity to try out more of our different areas. The various professions support each other in daily work, and we have an unpretentious work environment.

VO Care represented Södertälje Hospital in the Magnet4Europe study, which aims to promote an attractive workplace with operational leadership that supports improvement work and has a strong nursing profession. We are now continuing to work with the magnet model to enable a good work environment and nursing development.

The palliative department offers a challenging job with fantastic and supportive colleagues with many years of professional experience. Here, patients with complex symptoms in the end-of-life stage are cared for. We are an unpretentious and cheerful team where nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and paramedics work together with the patient in focus; a good reception towards patients and relatives is something we value highly.

Here on the department, one day is not like the other. With us, it is important to be able to plan and prioritize tasks that can be very varied. For example, you will work with pain pumps, drains, intravenous access, etc. Person-centered care is highly valued, as is working professionally to provide the best care for our patients.

We offer our employees supervision every three weeks and reflection time every Friday where we talk and support ongoing work. It can be mentally challenging due to the fact that the patient is in a palliative end stage.

Your personal qualities:

We are looking for someone who is positive, curious, and wants to learn and develop in their profession. You are flexible, proactive, and have an easy time prioritizing tasks when needed. As a person, you are responsible, creative, and solution-focused. As a nurse in the palliative department, you need to have an empathetic approach to the patient, as well as to relatives and colleagues. We also see that you have a genuine interest in developing care, always with the patient in focus.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Your qualifications:

Requirements:

Licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare.

Meritorious:

Experience in palliative care.

Employment form:

Permanent employment. Part-time/Full-time. Day, evening & weekend.
