Insurance Investigator at the Social Insurance Agency
Every year, the Social Insurance Agency makes 24 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We pay out approximately 250 billion kronor each year. It is everyone’s tax money that we manage. It is a great responsibility. Therefore, we delve into every case, follow laws and regulations, inform and guide, care, and show compassion. This is a job for you who want to take responsibility. Welcome to the Social Insurance Agency.
We are now looking for new employees for our three units in Örebro and Eskilstuna. Our units have different focuses. For one unit in Örebro, we are looking for a person with a particular focus on security, and for the other unit in Örebro and the unit in Eskilstuna, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping people return to self-sufficiency.
Solution-focused, coaching, and collaboration
In the role of insurance investigator with a focus on support for return, you meet individuals who often have a complex life situation with an ongoing sick leave. The individual may be relatively far from returning to work or other employment and therefore needs support from the Social Insurance Agency and other actors to get back to work. You are proactive in coordinating the rehabilitation needs identified and matching these needs with the right interventions. In your work, you involve the individual in the process. You have contact and plan with external partners such as the individual's employer, healthcare, or the Employment Service. You primarily work with digital meetings that you lead, but physical meetings may also occur as needed.
As an insurance investigator, you handle applications for sickness benefits. You independently make decisions about the right to sickness benefits by correctly applying the legislation, which also means that you need to consider changed circumstances in the sickness cases. You are also responsible for ongoing documentation and payment of compensation.
The role of insurance investigator is coaching, and your contacts are characterized by attentiveness, respect, and a desire to create security and understanding of the sickness insurance among individuals and partners. You collaborate with your colleagues both on-site and digitally. You actively work to develop your knowledge and share experiences and competencies.
As a new employee, you will receive introductory training and support from a mentor. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.
We are looking for you who
- have a university degree or experiences and qualifications that can be deemed equivalent
- are confident and trustworthy, even in stressful situations
- collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals
- act on your own initiative and take responsibility for achieving good results
- have a systematic and meticulous working method
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- have good communication skills, both orally and in writing
- implement plans and processes while ensuring high quality
- have a driver's license for passenger cars
It is meritorious if you have professional experience in
- meeting people in vulnerable and complex life situations
- working in a coordinating and leading role with external partners such as healthcare and employers
- identifying pathways to help individuals return to work or employment.
- driving investigations and processes forward
- applying a coaching working method and having good pedagogical skills
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
