The Vehicle Information Department plays a central role in the development and management of Sweden's road traffic register and all vehicle-related taxes and fees! Do you want to become our controller for both Finance and Operations!

You will
- work both strategically and operationally within several units, including the budget process, analyses (operational and IT-related), financial management, calculations, and year-end closing
- follow up on finance and operations
- further develop routines and working methods with operational planning and follow-up and contribute to the development of metrics and measurements
- participate in department-wide assignments
- support managers and leaders in their financial responsibilities
- lead and participate in operational planning work at the unit level
- collaborate with other controllers within the department and in other departments at the Transport Agency
- contribute financial expertise in projects and investigations.
You must have
- an academic degree in finance or another relevant field
- knowledge of and understanding of process orientation, value flows, and development work
- very good skills in the Office suite, especially Excel
- the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
It is meritorious if you also have
Current experience of:
- development work
- government financial management
- understanding of metrics and measurements between operations
- calculations
- experience of both financial and operational analyses of business areas
- experience in financial and operational development in a larger organization
- operational knowledge
- experience working in the financial system Agresso/UBW.

The employment is permanent with placement in Örebro. Appointment by agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. The needs of the operation and the nature of the tasks will determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About the Transport Agency
Number of employees: Approximately 2000.
Areas of operation: The Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe and environmentally friendly transport within rail, aviation, shipping, and road. We develop regulations, issue permits, and monitor compliance. With the help of our registers, we work with fees, permits, and ownership changes.
Locations: We have employees in 12 locations across the country. The largest part of the operation is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro. The headquarters is located in Norrköping.

About the Vehicle Information Department
The Vehicle Information Department consists of six units: Staff, VTR, Collection, Common Functions, Investigation, and Customer Service. We are about 440 employees and are located in Örebro, Borlänge, Arjeplog, and Visby.
We work with collecting taxes and fees and are responsible for vehicle registration. We develop e-services and produce various cards and certificates, such as driving licenses.
