Domsjöskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 330 students and 45 staff members located on the outskirts of Örnsköldsvik, with an inviting outdoor environment close to forest and nature. At Domsjöskolan, we work in a three-teacher system where three teachers and other resources work towards each grade. For those new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality has an introductory program for new teachers, which means that during your first year, you will have a mentor. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications who can guide and support you.

Responsibilities

You will teach in grade 5 and will have the overall responsibility for the student group and manage the documentation and contacts that this entails. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work. The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree with qualifications for grades 4-6. We seek someone who enjoys being challenged and thinking innovatively, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a given for you.

We would like you to have experience in leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the group's and individuals' needs. You are attentive, responsible, engaged, and creative.
