Are you interested in working with IT security in a complex and geographically dispersed environment? Do you want to contribute to ensuring that the Swedish government, the Government Offices, and embassies have IT systems with the right security? We are now looking for an experienced IT security architect.

As an IT security architect, you will work broadly with IT security issues and further develop our IT security architecture to support digitalization and meet the rapid changes in the environment. You will collaborate with the IT security manager, specialists, teams, projects, and suppliers to protect information according to agreed levels. You will stay updated on what is happening in the world, both regarding threat landscapes, working methods, technologies, and products, and develop IT security architecture by creating a roadmap to strengthen and ensure IT security capabilities in both on-prem and cloud environments.
The following tasks are included:
- Further develop and manage IT security architecture
- Participate in the design and implementation of security solutions and lead requirements and solution workshops
- Support cross-functional teams and projects
- Contribute to ensuring that strategy, governing principles, and guidelines for IT security architecture are followed and continuously developed
Your Background
We expect you to meet the following requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field for the role or equivalent work experience
- Experience as an IT security architect for on-prem and cloud environments
- Experience with IT security in environments with high security requirements
- Knowledge of cloud solutions and their security features
The following skills and experiences are meritorious:
- Certifications in IT security/architecture
- Experience in risk management, vulnerability management, continuity planning, and requirements specification for suppliers
- Experience in project management, M365, and Azure Security features, DevSecOps
- Experience working in government, public sector, or global operations
- Experience in accreditation for security-protected classified information systems
- Knowledge of regulations and standards in information and IT security (CIS, NIST, ISO 27000)
- Knowledge of NATO regulations and technical solutions for security-protected information
- Strong knowledge in designing IT infrastructure, networks, encryption, access/authorization management, application operations, and operating systems

You have the ability to communicate security-related issues clearly and pedagogically and can work towards set goals with the desired results. Your analytical ability and strategic mindset allow you to independently and proactively drive complex projects forward. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You are responsible, meticulous, and structured, with good collaboration and communication skills. Since the work is carried out in close collaboration with your colleagues, it is important that you have good teamwork skills, appreciate team collaboration, and can easily build trust and good relationships.
To succeed in this role, it is important to stay updated on current threats and risks in IT security. You have a good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Other
Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period. Our positions are classified in security class, and a security review with background checks will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen. On-call duty, travel to foreign authorities, and some work outside regular working hours may occur.
