About the Role
As a Control and Protection Software Engineer for Converter Control, you will have the opportunity to work in a versatile team of 50 engineers who develop and test software to control HVDC converters. Programming is done in HiDraw, the company's proprietary language. The role also involves managing customer requirements and contracts.
Examples of Responsibilities:
- Develop software in HiDraw: Program and maintain control software using HiDraw.
- Manage customer requirements: Understand and implement customer requirements into the system's functionality and control software.
- Testing and troubleshooting: Perform lab tests on control sequences and interlocks to ensure the HVDC system operates safely and reliably.
- Work with frequency regulation and future technologies: Implement features such as frequency control and contribute to the development of multi-terminal HVDC and DC grids, a vital part of the future power grid.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (energy and power engineering, electrical engineering, automation, and control engineering).
- Some experience in power engineering – from studies or work experience.
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
- Residing near Ludvika or willing to relocate.
Preferred:
- Experience with software or programming.
- Background in computer science.
- Knowledge of electronics.
- Experience in network monitoring.
- Experience from the industry.
