About us

Welcome to Närhälsan Kärra Health Center and BVC! We are located in Norra Hisingen, 12 km from Gothenburg Central Station, 13 km from Kungälv Travel Center, and 7 km from Angered Center.

We are a well-functioning health center with about 9600 registered patients, stable staffing, and good finances. The health center is located near Kärra Center, next to beautiful nature and the commuter station with the possibility of free parking.

With us, specialist doctors in general medicine, ST doctors, district nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, social workers, rehab coordinators, and medical secretaries work. The health center has developed clinics in diabetes, asthma/COPD, medical consultations, child health care, and laboratory. We are responsible for nursing homes and LSS operations. We have the opportunity to offer our patients visits with a health coach for support in behavior change and guidance towards healthy living habits. We collaborate closely with Kungälv Hospital.

Together with team leaders and management, we are 26 employees who enjoy working together, have a friendly and helpful work climate with great commitment and job satisfaction. About the job

Your tasks span a wide field and cover the general medical area where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treating in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital healthcare meetings, and at the clinic.

The work involves both acute and planned activities. You will work largely independently with your own clinic where you triage, treat, and follow up on patients. Telephone advice is also included in your tasks. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues in the unit and within the team, but also together with other actors such as home healthcare and specialist care. Together with the health center management, we are responsible for developing and driving the business forward. Educating future colleagues is an important part of our mission, therefore supervision of students is also part of your role at the health center.

About you

You are a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience working at a health center in primary care and/or have supervisor training of 7.5 credits, but we also welcome you who are newly graduated.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, solution-oriented, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. You thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is natural to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits at the clinic. We encourage an interest in digitalization and business development.

The position is a temporary contract for 18 months starting in June 2025.

Travel in the job may occur.

About the recruitment process

Selection is done in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite candidates for a phone interview. Thereafter, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
