As early as the mid-1800s, machine felt was produced in Halmstad. Since then, years have passed, companies have disappeared, others have spun off and changed names. Today's Nordifa is the only Nordic manufacturer of technical textiles that has a complete production chain from fiber to finished function within its walls. Customers are found in a variety of fields - process industries worldwide, manufacturing industries that assemble Nordifa components in their products, and world-renowned furniture designers.
Nordifa has an annual turnover of 110 million and we have 60 employees. Since December 18, 2024, the Sporda Nonwoven unit has also been included in the group with a turnover of 45 million.
As a strategic purchaser, you will take a comprehensive approach to the strategic purchasing work related to our production units. This involves establishing and updating agreements with current suppliers of products and services.
An important part of the job is to analyze our needs for raw materials and supplies so that we stay ahead. Travel is part of the job.
The role includes, among other things:
- Working closely with our production and marketing departments to provide supplier market knowledge.
- Contract and price negotiations as well as supplier selection together with the CEO.
- Updating supplier information and prices that form the basis for product calculations.
- Responsible for sustainability work and reporting information to customers.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in category and strategic purchasing with a focus on contracts, price negotiations, and supplier development. Preferably within the textile area.
- Good knowledge of contract law and experience in handling analyses, calculations, and forecasts in business systems, Pyramid and Monitor are advantageous.
- Experience in sustainability issues and supplier evaluations is a plus.
- Relationship-building with negotiation skills - you are both attentive and tough when needed.
- A business-oriented mindset and are structured and analytical.
- Fluent in Swedish and good knowledge of English.
