Sundsvall Gymnasium/Västermalm is an attractive and centrally located school. Here, there are vocational and university preparatory programs, adapted upper secondary school, and individual alternatives. There are approximately 1,100 students and around 200 employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position includes teaching vocational courses in electricity and energy. You will be part of the Electricity and Energy team along with other teachers in the program, and you will also be a mentor for our students. Your responsibilities include working with APL (workplace-based learning) in the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching qualifications are required for permanent employment.

A pedagogical education/teaching degree or undergoing pedagogical training is an advantage.

We prefer that you have extensive professional experience in the electricity and energy sector. To succeed in this role, you need to have good pedagogical skills and a positive attitude. You should be flexible, open, and have good collaboration skills.

You need to have a good ability to structure and document as well as be flexible in your interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. You should be positive, engaged, and passionate about the development of students, both academically and personally. You should be a driving force in developing an accessible learning environment for inclusive working methods, as well as in developing and implementing value-creating working methods related to upper secondary school. You should be able and willing to actively work for increased collaboration both within the program and with external stakeholders. You should find it easy to collaborate with others and have a genuine interest in helping your students achieve their and the education's goals.
