About the Position

As a healthcare assistant in the emergency department, you will care for severely ill and injured patients, but you will also assist patients who come to us with minor injuries and lighter illnesses. You will collaborate with nurses and doctors and assist in triaging patients who seek our help. You, together with the nurse, will provide care based on the patient's needs. Our emergency department is also an urgent care center, which provides a great variety in tasks, and no day is the same. Due to the urgent care assignment, the work also includes caring for sick children.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Providing nursing care.
• Triaging patients together with the nurse.
• Assisting in various procedures such as suturing and different punctures.
• Monitoring vital signs and EKG.
• Blood sampling, both venous and capillary.
• Documentation in the Take Care journal system.
• Caring for sick children.

About You

For this position, you need to:

• Be a trained healthcare assistant with a protected professional title.
• Have previous experience working in an emergency department.
• Possess good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• Have computer and system proficiency.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with the TakeCare journal system.
• Good knowledge of casting.
