Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (The Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

Our client is a man in his 65s living in Motala. He is wheelchair-bound and has been diagnosed with MS. He needs help with most aspects of his daily life, which means assisting as a personal assistant both inside and outside the home by being the client's extended arm. He has aids and a well-adapted home. His major interests are culture and art; if you share these, it is a big plus. If you do not have the same interests, you will surely find other common interests to talk about.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Is handy and enjoys cooking.
• Can manage a job that involves transfers.

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships and take great responsibility. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working in healthcare or as a personal assistant, but this is not a requirement.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

We are looking for hourly substitutes with the possibility of a permanent position. Working hours are varied, including days, evenings, and weekends. Most of the day will involve double staffing. Split shifts may occur.

Hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation will be according to collective agreements.

Start date

Immediately or according to agreement. Interviews with the client are ongoing.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that support your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
