Vehicle Manager for Region Östergötland

The Center for Procurement, Service, and Logistics is responsible for the collective procurement and material supply issues of Region Östergötland. The common functions for management, development, operational support, and service in Region Östergötland are gathered in five production units, of which we are one.

We are a strategic function that works broadly with procurement across all operations in the region, where healthcare is the largest but also regional development, property and Facility Management, IT, city libraries, and agricultural high schools are operations we support. Our goal is to be an efficient procurement organization focused on business.

We are now looking for a Vehicle Manager to create an efficient vehicle fleet for the region's operational vehicles!

Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

The new position/role as Vehicle Manager will have overall responsibility for Region Östergötland's vehicle fleet.

The Vehicle Manager will be responsible for:

• Developing and coordinating the region's vehicle fleet with the aim of creating an efficient vehicle fleet
• Formulating governing documents in the area and ensuring they are developed and adapted to changes
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, established regulations, and internally established guidelines
• Being the responsible purchaser during vehicle procurements and ensuring that signed agreements are followed
• Actively supporting operations regarding vehicle issues such as vehicle management, choice of vehicles, choice of fuel, insurance issues in case of vehicle damage, ordering vehicles, and disposing of vehicles, etc.
• Implementing and following up on the area of responsibility

Profile

To succeed in the role of Vehicle Manager at Region Östergötland, we see that you have at least two years of relevant experience from a vehicle-intensive operation with similar tasks as mentioned above, as well as a relevant post-secondary education. You have a good command of both spoken and written Swedish. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

You enjoy being responsible in a coordinating role, where your independence and drive come into play. You have a positive attitude in your work and see opportunities and solutions instead of problems when faced with challenges.
