Department Head for District Rehabilitation

We offer a position as Department Head for District Rehabilitation.

Rehab Söder is tasked with providing citizens in southern Kalmar County with rehabilitative services at both specialist and primary care levels. Services should be provided in collaboration with other healthcare providers such as the regional hospital, primary care, and municipalities when necessary. The goal is for these services to lead to maintained or improved health for the patient. The workgroup is stable and characterized by collaboration, experience, and creativity. In your role as Department Head, it is important to continue developing and meeting future challenges and needs within healthcare, such as governance and leadership, close care, new working methods, and staffing.

It is essential that you have a clear, present, and developmental leadership style in accordance with Region Kalmar County's leadership strategy. As Department Head, you are responsible for the department's work environment and are expected to lead, plan, and develop the operations. You report to the Operations Manager and also collaborate closely with other department heads within the clinic. The role includes personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees distributed across the three locations of Nybro, Emmaboda, and Söderåkra. The team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nursing assistants, and administrative staff.

The leadership position is time-limited, and we offer a permanent position within the organization based on your primary profession. About You

We are looking for someone with a degree from a university or college focusing on health and medical care, or other relevant education. If you have training and/or experience in rehabilitation, it is an advantage. Leadership experience or participation in the Region's trainee program is desirable.

Your Future Workplace

The District Rehabilitation belongs to the base unit Rehab Söder and is organizationally part of the Kalmar County Hospital. Our workplace is located in Nybro, Emmaboda, and Söderåkra, and we are a team of three occupational therapists, 16 physiotherapists, one nursing assistant, and one administrative assistant. We support and help each other and have good collaboration between our various professional categories. With great commitment and broad competence, we provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
