CEO wanted for Västervik Resort AB! The position at one of Sweden's largest holiday resorts is now open for those who want to help drive the tourism industry towards new goals.

More and more people are discovering Västervik as a destination, strategically located between Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby and Visby on Gotland. This year we broke records again in the number of guest nights, which increased by 6.3%, the largest increase in our county. Most visitors come from abroad, and many stay at Västervik Resort, which is a five-star camping site of the highest quality.

Your responsibilities

In the role of CEO, you know how to work to encourage new guests to choose Västervik Resort as their travel destination. One of the most important focuses you will work on is business development, as a key challenge currently being addressed is to extend the annual seasons and create new travel reasons for our visitors.

It is important for our resort to have active collaboration with the local tourism industry, and you will be responsible for maintaining a lively and active partnership.

Västervik Resort has a professional team, and we support each other across all areas of responsibility. Our goal is to manage and develop the legacy of being one of Sweden's absolute best resort facilities. You and your colleagues work together to attract and welcome both distant and local guests to new experiences.

Your immediate supervisor is the chairman of Västervik Resort AB, and in your operational management team, you will have the support of the CFO, Marketing Manager, Property Manager, Administrative Manager, Reception Manager, and Pool and Conference Manager. We are a publicly owned company with full transparency, and great importance is placed on the ability to combine work in a politically governed organization with the responsibility of a competitive company. You will also be part of the municipal group's management team.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in a leadership position within the tourism industry. You have a relevant university education or other training and documented experience in tourism operations in development that the employer assesses as equivalent.

You have a good knowledge of the industry, and if you have experience in similar work outside of Sweden, this is an advantage. You have a strong ability to think strategically with a long-term perspective. You have comprehensive knowledge of brand positioning, negotiation issues, and marketing from a management perspective.

You are accustomed to working with core values, and your personality is characterized by a strong drive and willingness to collaborate while having a trustworthy and confidence-inspiring leadership style. You have good communication skills and can engage with employees, suppliers, and guests in a constructive and respectful manner.

You have a knack for both strategic and operational reasoning and act commercially in various situations and relationships. You have the ability to see and act from a holistic perspective and plan and organize work based on the circumstances the business faces. You are balanced and stable as a person and have a good ability to adapt to new situations and challenges. You continuously work towards good financial and qualitative results.

We expect you to express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
